Whats the point of having 4-5 inch pipes when it's proven that 3" is good enough to do the job?
Also, is it true theres a 700+ scoob in Japan? |
The 4 or 5 inch bit is just the tailpipe, the rest is usually 3".
Its for show. |

The exhaust size does affect things, 4" instead of 3" for example - it depends what you mean by 'does the job'. If you're running mega-boost or very high revs or a big engine, then you need a big exhaust to get all of that air through. On the other hand, it adversely affects the low-down torque with a really big exhausts, so it's horses for courses. The Super Lemon Impreza is around 1000bhp I believe (though completely undriveable really and has very few engine parts carried over!!) Richard |
Eh? Super Lemon Skyline has supposedly 1000+bhp, but 1000+bhp scooby (has it got a scooby engine in it?)?
A 3" dia exhaust is fine for 500+bhp, so i doubt if youd see a scoob etc with any bigger. |
Shakur'n'Salt I could give you a very cool URL if you like!
