Well when my fuel light comes on, I have 9 gallons left apparently, and I've gone a very long way on it ! :D Most I've ever managed to put back in the tank is 55litres too !

i used to think petrol in my wrx was crap but thats because i only used to put £20 a week and it was always on the petrol light but i started to fill it up and it lasts alot longer even driving the same miles each week only to work and back i put less than £20 in

Same here, was told it can cause fuel starvation when being driven hard leading to lean running. :(

I've had the fuel light on loads of times, not that I'm tight but I only ever fill it up, I don't think I've ever just stuck a £10/£20 in. 57 litres is the most I've ever managed to get in.

I've heard about the 1/4 tank thing but Mine is pushed every time I get in it, 113K and still going strong!!!!!

I know i might sound like a crazy person, but in almost 2 years of ownership my light may have only come on a dozen times...............but it doesnt seem to come on until the needle drops to the same point as Drive's above:wonder:

I cant be bothered to run around on fumes, it costs just as much to run around full as empty so why give yourself the grief + as others have said its not good for the motor:nono:
