Fitting a dawes
Has anyone got a pictorial guide to fitting an dawes?
Done loads of searching but all the links are now broken or don't exist. Ideally for a newage. Cheers Wes |
remove original pipework from turbo, end of the dawes with elbow to the actuator, the other to the compressor cover.. then just don't keep winding as go to far without appropriate fuel and ignition alterations and you will blow it up.

Nice one.
Only using it temporarily to stop spiking before a remap. Just found out it's a turbosmart version, install is the same? Could really do with a pic/idiots guide, as I have no idea what to do :o . Everything will be monitored by my SECS monitor. Weso :D |
might be safer to run a single pipe from compressor cover to actuator.. then it will only run about 0.6bar.

Simon Its a rough photoshop, but you get the idea elbow end > actuator straight end > compressor outlet http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y26...pics/dawes.jpg |
Top man - you're a legend.
Just had another thought, if I disconnect my boost solenoid to plumb in the dawes, will my SECS monitor still give an accurate boost pressure reading? Wes :) |
yes secs uses the MAP sensor not the boost solenoid

Cheers chaps! :notworthy

as Simon said, dont go mental
fitted my Perrin one and got carried away, hit 1.55bar on a standard TD04 and nutted steering wheel when it boost cut :lol1: |
