finish on friday 21st, go back on the 2nd. 11 day break, not too bad! :D

chocolate_o_brian 04 December 2007 03:42 PM

people will notice a pattern emerging here.

those in i.t. sort of jobs get nice long breaks over xmas, bonuses etc, while the less intelligent :lol1: like me, get to work over xmas in (my example) a crappy warehouse so we can deliver to shops that open for 15 minutes on xmas day.

oh the joy:freak3:

p.s. thats not jealousy (ok just a little) but more of an observation.

No fat bonus though, company is too stingy for that, expect we'll get the usual £25 in Sainsburys vouchers

Nice one Mart,

Why off so long?

I am already off at the moment, combo of annual leave, Paternity leave etc. Have left my job, so apart from a little appearance at the company Xmas do etc and some final tidying up at my desk, I do not start the new job until 2nd January.

Would like to booze, but wary of imminent arrival of baby and so on, maybe after?

we are having major works carried out over the shutdown, so have had to take an extended break, i also have 2 weeks holiday to factor into that as well, hence the long period of time :D:D:D

I finish this Thursday, but am going in on Friday for half a day, then were all out on our Christmas do :D:D

Monday will be my official last day, tidying up paperwork and bits and bobs :)

I,m neither in I.T or work 9-5 :(

40 hour week on a 5-4 pattern, although we invariably work the second (off) friday, its these banked hours that have covered the break in January
