PROJECT: RB320 1:18 Autoart model

What do you think?

T-cut the STI logos on the rear, front and sides. Fitted the RB320 logos and new boot lock

Painted the seats to look like alacantara RB320 seats (decided to leave the carpet rather then painting blue - should have been that way anyway)

then fitted the RB320 logos

You have too much time on your hands!!! :nono:

Excellent work though.....good skills :thumb:

I was thinking about trying to get a model for every car I've ever owned.....like a 3D photo album. I think some of the cars are impossible to find in model form though.... Datsun 100A, Corolla GT, etc, etc.

Any tips for top model supplies??? :D

This place has some good ones, but not what I want!

rb5 286 30 October 2007 12:32 PM

too much time.....are you joking!!!!

this has taken weeks to get to this stage doing a bit when i can

I have another 2 to do exactly the same, I will be auctioning the 3 off to raise money for the RBF

Excellent work, really does look accurate.

To hijack the post a little, I've been trying to find a modle of a classic UK turbo MY00. Any thoughts?

SC008Y_MAD 30 October 2007 02:45 PM

Thats quality mate.

cheers

you'll have to get the police car version that AutoArt do. Thats the only one they do for UK model in classic shape

other then that there other manufacturers that do them but quality is very poor.

I've emailed AutoArt with pics and links to the RB320 site, doubt I'd get a response but worth a try.

I have started a bidding over on the RB320oc forum for this model, the winner will have a choice of the registration plate, current price is £126 :notworthy

so thats £66 so far towards RBF

joe79er 30 October 2007 04:27 PM

so did you buy a normal one and take it apart and then add new bits to it?.

The only classic I have seen is the WRX Type R version in yellow :thumb:

rossyboy 30 October 2007 05:52 PM

There is a white 4 door STI 3 by AutoArt as I have one here. They also did a blue one the same and a 22B.

Sonic' 30 October 2007 10:32 PM

poundstretcher or whatever they are called these days Instore I think, were doing a variety of the Autoart Scoobs for 9 quid :)

rb5 286 31 October 2007 01:04 AM

i printed the logos

Stevesbluewrx 31 October 2007 01:13 AM

Great skills there mate.

Reminds me when I used to spend most of my time building RC Cars and adding bits and bobs. Still even have some of my FG (1/5th scale) Porsches at my Mums that are just collecting dust now. I did a replica of the RWS Red Bull Porsche 911 GT3RS . Took me ages to get some Red Bull Stickers to fit the 1/5th scale shell. Managed to find some in Germany in the end.

Did AutoART go bust or am I thinking of another company? I've got the Le Mans 1/18th scale models.
Did anyone do a black bugeye STi model?

Steve

Ste RB5138 31 October 2007 02:00 AM
