That show just p***es me off. They catch the scrotes in the stolen Escorts, only for them to be let off with a ticking off:nono:

Jamie 05 September 2007 08:51 PM

What he said ^ :(

Bug Eyed Peas 05 September 2007 08:53 PM

Better than watching the countless number of pathetic soaps though.
I want to see what my licence fee is paying for :norty:

unclebuck 05 September 2007 08:56 PM

More low budget 'reality' garbage.

Lisawrx 05 September 2007 08:57 PM

This seems to be the way it works, on all these programmes. All those who clearly abuse the law get off with a slap on the wrist

Yet if any generally law abiding people were to commit a "crime",no doubt they would get handed a far more harsh punishment. :cuckoo:

mac12 05 September 2007 08:59 PM

never mind all the moaners cheers for the info :thumb:

Lisawrx 05 September 2007 09:01 PM

I was shocked at those two gobby 15/16 yr olds that had absconded from a childrens home. Just think how bad they'll be in a few years time.

They are the next traffic cops.

"Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime"

Scum caught 6x over the d/d limit fell asleep at the wheel of his car - whilst driving, got £120.00 fine and banned for a year. what a joke

DD should carry and prison sentence.

Luminous 06 September 2007 09:09 AM

Are you sure it was that much, I thought the one 6 times over the limit got a much lower fine, something like £60. It was the one who gave the specimen of breath that got the higher fine...

What a good system we have though. Steps to reduce punishment as follows:-
1) If you have been drinking blow into the machine at the road side in the hope you can get off...
2) If you are arrested, blow into the machine at the police station to see how bad it is. If you are well over the limit, simply refuse to blow into it again and they can only do you for not providing a breath sample. If you are only slightly over, just come up with a good excuse and pray.

I also love the idea that lowering the drink limit will actually do something. You have people breaking the law, already over the limit, clearly not caring. The answer, well clearly lower the limit more as this will obviously make a difference to them :cuckoo:

Luminous 06 September 2007 09:11 AM

Oh and that copper going after the "red light jumper". That was such a minor transgression. 80% of the car must have gone through on amber. Mind you, the driver was a numptie.

I agree :thumb:

Trouble is, with our jails at (what seems to be) maximum capacity, that's why it's so easy to get away with things these days.

As I've said before, start putting 3 to a cell instead of 2. That's the prison capacity almost doubled at a stroke.

Same argument applies to speed limits. People greatly exceeding speed limits crash and kill themselves therefore we'll install cameras and catch the majority exceed the limit marginally without crashing. Oh and before installing the camera we'll reduce the speed limit too. Nothing to do with money generation.
