17" Alloys
 

Im sure one of you scooby experts will know the answer to this, but ive only had my classic 98 uk wagon for a few months so know very little about these cars at the moment. If I were to put 17" alloys on, would this make a huge detrimental difference to the handling. I put 17" on my old 172 clio, and the handling was compromised. I don't really want to shell out for alloys and then find that the handling has gone to pot. Any help or advice would be appreciated:)

17's are acutally recommended by Prodrive, so if they recommend them ;) but ensure you get the right tyre sizes, either 205/40/17 or 215/40/17.
