Sore Knee

My left knee has been sore for the past few days. I counsulted my 8yr olds mum who is a nurse & she reckons its arthritis, is there anything that i can get to prevent or at least slow down this becoming a problem.
I have physio next week anyway for my foot so i will ask when i am there, just looking for some advice.

Cheers

This physio that you are having, is it on the same leg as the sore knee? If so then it could be sore because it is compensating for the problem with your foot.

Chris.

could even be a small tear in the cartelidge in the knee , tucking in occasionally as you bend your knee, altho' the pain from that is intense :(

My mate who is a footballer just had the cartlidge operation on thursday & i spoke to him about it, he reckons i might have twisted it but the thing that cemented it today was when driving to Ikea today, i jumped out the car when i got there & it was really sore but walking on it helped ease it a little.

When in the E Class its just like the leg is lying down but in my Range Rover it sits slightly higher so foof nows.

Aye its supposed to good, my mates an osteopath and recommends this.

For general pain relief use an NSAID such as Ibuprofen or Diclofenac, don't take these if you've a dodgy stomach or have any chest problems.

if its cartilidge or the tear, you would know about it... it bloody hurts when it happens like a spike being pushed into your knee...

Glucosamine/chondroitin/msm cod liver oil

Take your pick they are all good

A good anti inflammatory is devils claw, i find it far more effective than brufen and has no sides

Take loads of Bisacodyl that'll get you up and running again.

Know the feeling, have you over used your left leg to say compesate for your right ankle cos if you have that will cause your knee to be sore and swell up, ask your doc for Ipruprofen 600 mg thats what I take and they are good
Cheers

I doubt it is arthritis... how old are you?

As said previously, the left knee will be compensating for the right ankle so try using the RICE technique. R.I.C.E. stands for Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation.
