I have an MY93 WRX, and recently the CHECK ENGINE light has illuminated, giving Fault code 45. This is a pressure sensor fault.
However, today I've been to the back door of the local dealers', and they could find no problem with any of the pressure sensor systems. They even resorted to swapping bits to check, but the CHECK ENGINE light persisted. Has anyone had any experience of ECUs failing? I guess the next thing to check is the earthing on the ECU, and then possibly try to swap with another unit? If the ECU has failed, are these easy to come by, and are they expensive (I'm guessing £hundreds). Cheers for any replies, Dave |
yes
Got uk300 PPP and SS de-cat and engine light kept coming after about 6000 miles. New ECU was fitted and seems to be ok. |
Spoke to Grade A wednesday about early ECU, they recon on abou £80 +VAT.

Cheers guys,
I hope to swap with another ECU over the weekend, hopefully this will confirm where the problem lies. |
Anyone got a website or email address for this Grade A place please?
