350/320....

What sort of boost are you running?

Davros 1979 14 May 2007 07:32 PM

Would say more like 330 on a VF35?

Yes you're right, had it confused with the VF34 which has the P20 housing instead of the P18 used on the 35..:iamwithst

Davros 1979 14 May 2007 08:13 PM

Wish you were right about the 350 as I have just bought a VF35!!

jasonius 14 May 2007 08:33 PM

Don't worry mate. IMHO the VF35 is a better turbo due to it's quicker response (down to the p15 ex housing)..;)

My VF35 (usual supporting mods, albeit newage) recently made 332 at PS (which anywhere else would be more like 350..:D) and with 1 bar @ ~2800, 1.4 @ 3200, holding 1.3 to >6k makes it very good on the road..:)

Don't forget to port the WG BTW..!

satpink 14 May 2007 09:29 PM

might be better keeping the vf 23 then or can i swap exhaust housing from 23 to 35 or am i talking rubbish

banny sti 14 May 2007 09:31 PM

You can swap the P20 housing of the VF23 on to the VF35 thus giving you a VF34!

I have a VF35

ONLY running 1.25bar got 357bhp / 347lbft at Powerstation rollers

a more recent RR at WRC tech (silverstone) last month

i made

349bhp / 356lbft

350 is possible from a vf35 and running a low boost with supported mods :D ;) and the results are from my Classic ;):D:D:D:D:D:cool::cool::cool:

Some great figures there.

I didnt think a VF35 would handle much above around 330.

Neilo 14 May 2007 10:52 PM

the heads and cams in yours will help it along nicely dave. Should be a decent handful when you get it fitted and mapped up ;)

For reference:

VF35 P15

VF24, 28, 29, 30, 34 P18

VF22, 23 P20

I'll have to check the VF43, etc', but would guess they are P18 too.

Mark.
