only runs on optimax/ v power

TonyBurns 12 May 2007 08:26 PM

It could be a bad batch of fuel, have you tried another garage or added octane booster to see if there is any difference?

Tony:)

No.. From the box they are set at about 1.0mm. Take them out and set them at 0.7-0.8mm

This will help. https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...?highlight=gap

Key in the word 'GAP' in the search to find loads more. The subaru turbo must have the correct spark gap. Try this first then post back.

I brought some PFR6B's off ebay, they all came gapped at exactly 0.7mm. Worth checking though, as if yours are gapped at 1.0mm then that could be the problem as dan says.

phoned roger clarks asked about gaps on pfr6b saidthere were set ready to go

dan83590 14 May 2007 10:54 AM

Up to you matey. I'd double check them before I went spending sh!te loads of cash when you may not need to. My NGK's were without a doubt set way bigger than 0.7mm. Until you know what the gaps are for definate you may as well p!ss in high winds. What we know so far is that you have change various items and the problem is still there. You need to start ruling things out and you cannot rule out plugs if you have not gapped them. Who knows, you might get lucky.

Up to you matey int it!

Next thing to check is the coil packs. Have you had new ones fitted or were they second hand?

Just a thought, was the timing belt changed just before this problem started?

codfather 15 May 2007 11:42 PM
