I'm gonna change my wheels shortly (Gold 17" ST2)

I want to see a Dark Blue Mica with P1 Anthracite wheels on it - anyone done this?

I was going to try that or the Gold P1 wheels.

Cheers,
DV

I think Sunil has what you are lookin for, but remeber if u mail him to call them Titanium, not anthracite. It seems a big deal for him http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I've got a DBM wagon with P1 Anthracite's...very nice...but I would say that http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

But I've just put my winter wheels on...and no photo's available (car's new).

But just do it!
Richard

DazV 23 November 2000 10:38 AM

just do it, just do it, just do it.

Someone give me a set of 'Titanium OZs' from their P1 and I'll do it. Otherwise, I'll have to do some photoshop wizardry to superimpose a photo of say 'KurtW the ManSteak' car onto my humble MY00 Turbo.

On an entirely different note, I'm taking my SS exhaust off next week at my dealer, who's just got the new Turbo in - will drive it and his P1 too! My plan is distract them, and whip the P1 wheels off, and stick 'em onto mine. to see what they look like.

Just do it, I've seen a W reg DBM with anthracite Oz wheels on and It looked f****g superb.

Hides the brake dust too

DazV 23 November 2000 12:06 PM

Nah, I NEED the power of the internetty to show me what this combo would look like.

I need WHEEL INSPIRATION

logiclee 23 November 2000 03:15 PM

What's this?

A wheel colour thread without pslewis.

Keep the Gold wheels, its what Pete would want you to do. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

chuckster 23 November 2000 03:18 PM

Better yet, buy the P1 titaniums and paint 'em gold http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

DazV 23 November 2000 03:39 PM

To hell with it, I'll put a set of Fiesta 950 Pop wheel covers on and be done with it.

I'd prefer Austin Allegro covers but beggars cant be...

GaryC 23 November 2000 05:22 PM

Have only seen one DBM with P1 wheels on, and I thought it looked crap. Made the wheels seem like 15". Might look better with more spokes, but the anthrcite 10 spokers always look small. I have Gold OZs and when parked next to a P1, my wheels looked at least and inch bigger.

Just MHO http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Kevin2000 23 November 2000 08:06 PM

Hey Gary, are you on about the grey ten spoke wheels with the prodrive centre cap and prodive wrote in black on one of the spokes?

sunilp 24 November 2000 08:18 AM

I have a UK DBM 4dr with 18" P1 titanium rims on it http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Didn't look that close - they were P1 wheels, whatever centre cap and lettering they have?

sunilp 24 November 2000 11:37 AM

they prob were the same then Gary.

pslewis 24 November 2000 12:14 PM

Well - here goes - all you fans are awaiting my responce with baited breath!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I HAVE got a DBM wagon and have got anthracite wheels on - well thats what 2 ton of brake dust makes them look like ... do NOT get Gold (very very Vera Duckworth!!)

The cheapest option is to let the brake dust settle on the silver wheels and then spray them with a liberal coating of laquer - looks like sh1t but a damn sight better than gold!!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Hey DazV

The car looks FANTASTIC with the anthracite wheels against the mica blue, when gleaming clean. Plus when dirty, it still looks great whereas the gold just look plain old tatty when covered in dirt.

They give the car a more sophisticated look.

so get them

PaulW,

Judging by that link, whoever said the P1 wheels look small on a DBM car were right - they look tiny - are they 16" ?

Two things which make think they'd be better on mine:
1. Lowered ProDrive Suspension on my car - less wheel arch gap
2. The link you sent is badly lit for a DBM car - it looks like sonic blue nearly!

sunilp 25 November 2000 09:47 AM

Impreza, whats that then?, ive got a DBM Vauxhall Nova with high rear spolier, bonnet scoop and 18" P1 rims http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
