md321t where from

is it just lateral perfomance that do these turbos

stockcar 03 May 2007 08:13 AM

various traders can supply these, be careful that you get the turbo as a 'kit' as it appears that some peeps charge extra for this even though its supplied from new......................

Scooby Clinic | The UK's Largest Independent Subaru Specialists | 01246 590 807 - Chesterfield S42 6QX instock with fittings £1250+vat:thumb:

Better still you could try the latest scoobyclinic turbo developed in house on our dyno, after extensive testing we found it to be a clear winner!

SC46 direct fit with all fittings £1175+vat

hope this helps

A clear winner against the MD321T ??????

The Hoff 03 May 2007 01:07 PM

Yes, as above, was this against the MD321T and whats a "clear winner"?

specialx 03 May 2007 01:57 PM

for us it won on 3 points

1, overlaying our dyno print outs against the 321t the SC46 produced exactly the same power and torque at less boost.

2 it comes with all fittings and gaskets and is cheaper.

3, It says SCOOBYCLINIC on it! :D

flat4 03 May 2007 01:57 PM

I'm having the new SC50 turbo fitted to my car in the next week or so, i'll be posting the dyno results in my projects thread and then it's off to ScoobyShootout in 3 weeks time to see how it runs :thumb:

Bob Rawle 03 May 2007 11:09 PM

Beware of equivelants, they don't always do what they say on the tin dependant on what sort of opener you use

cheers

bob

simbo 03 May 2007 11:56 PM

so are all the others equivelants or or does other suppliers supply the exact same thing ?

ZEN Performance 04 May 2007 12:17 AM

Can you post the dyno plots of the back to back test?

Hi,
we were involved with the testing of the MD series of turbos so are well aware just how good they are, in fact I run one on my own car, we are just attempting to offer an alternative direct bolt on turbo.

Graphs as requested earlier, these are hot off the press, just finished mapping on shell V power, not race gas, this is an example of the SC50 which we intended to be a direct fit turbo capable of 500 bhp.

More graphs to follow.

Our SC46SH mirrors the md321h to perfection running back to back tests on the dyno it was hard to see the different traces on the graph as they were overlaying each other.
introductory offer including fittings & gaskets £1175+VAT:thumb:

hiya mate, can you pm me the details on this H one, peek bhp/torque figure you got, spool time ect...and a price to deliver.
i could buy this weekend if all is ok, just want to compair with the MD

The Gaffer 23 May 2007 10:13 AM

Hi,
the SC50 hits full boost at 3700 rpm on the dyno, will be earlier on the road, not done the road test yet, just putting my incontinance pants on as I have to pilot while Andy moniters the laptop, unless your not to busy :thumb:

There was more to come but as the shootout is Sunday we didnt want to push to hard, I think if we had we would be sweeping up his straight cut gearbox off the dyno :p

Cheers

Id be very interested in seeing the SC42, SC46 and SC50 dyno prints over the top of one another. Have a summer build underway with a target of as close to 500/500 as possible on a 2.5l but with as little lag as possible also.
thanks
will

I think we set a new record last night for an MD321T on a 2 litre :D:D:D

503.9bhp and 486lbft torque - I'm a very happy bunny :D

Not on standard road fuel though :D:D:D

I'll post up a graph later, but the fuel pump was limiting further progress - which says a lot for the turbo

Ran on the rollers in 3rd, peaked at 2.1 bar :D
