wayne's scooby 16 April 2007 02:41 PM

might be the wheel bearing

dan83590 16 April 2007 02:43 PM

Have you jacked the car and spun the wheel and checked for any play, vertical and horizontal?

demonsurfer 16 April 2007 02:44 PM

i was thinking of it being one of two things either the cv joint or the wheel bearing .but you only hear the noise when you turn the wheel

demonsurfer 16 April 2007 02:46 PM

not yet might pop down to my friends garage and pop it on his mot ramp and get him to have a look aswell

dan83590 16 April 2007 03:11 PM

A wheel bearing would be more WU WU WU WU WU WU, if you get me..

demonsurfer 16 April 2007 03:16 PM

this is more like a click click click

dan83590 16 April 2007 03:39 PM

This could turn into jibberish!!

Doesn't sound like it gonna be a bearing or CV if its just a click. Like I said, if you jack it and spin the wheel in question it'll be quite easy to find. Its more than likely gonna be something around the braking system, a loose spring, or shim. It if is remove the pads and refit correctly with copper grease. Or it may be as simple as debris stuck somewhere.
