JoeyDeacon 15 November 2000 05:03 PM

So would it be rude to ask what your premium is/was??

chuckster 15 November 2000 05:06 PM

Whats the new car?

JoeyDeacon 15 November 2000 05:10 PM

According to his website he has ordered an EVO VI makinen and I don't even want to guess at the insurance premium!!!!

Tim Bomford 15 November 2000 06:09 PM

My EVO VI GSR cost me £1100 fully comp, 28yrs old, partner on policy, Protected NCB. Costs me MORE to insure my STi http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Where is the justice in that?

Tim

Blow Dog 15 November 2000 06:37 PM

Well, as Joey says, its a VI Makinen.

Premium for my GSR was about £1500. For the Makinen, I think it is about £300 more. But thats up until my new premium, the current rates dont take into account my accident.

Take it easy with the roundabouts on the way home Blowdog.

sunilp 15 November 2000 08:22 PM

Blowdog, as long as your ok, the car is only a peice of metal, it can be replaced, your health cannot.

What happened anyhow?

Rum* 16 November 2000 06:35 PM

When are we going to see some pics of the new beast?

Kevin2000 16 November 2000 07:00 PM

He was going around a roundabout and allegedly there was diesel on the road and his car went up on a kerb in a big way.It happened a while ago now.

Blow Dog 16 November 2000 10:31 PM

Hi all,

Thanks for the kind words http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
It wasn't a nice experience, but it happened, so I move on. Like Steve said, every cloud has a silver lining, and my silver lining is an Evo VI Makinen, which I picked up last night. I am still running it in, but suffice to say, I am a happy bunny http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I went to buy a digital camera today, but the guy in Dixons was like a pudle of puke, he had no idea whatsoever, so i will buy one tommorow and put it up on the net over the weekend.

If anyone is at the Essex meet this weekend, you will see it http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

It rocks http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Cem,

Glad you like your new Mac. Shame about the old one, but as you say, you move on. And you've moved on nicely I must say.

You surely didn't expect someone in Dixons to know anything about Cameras? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

quick tip on digital cameras...

If you are interested in a high quality/high resolution digital camera then ignore this.

If however you are interested in something relatively cheap and cheerful you may be interested in the creative web cam go. I recently bought one. max resolution is 640 x 480

The neat feature is that you can link it to your PC and us it as a security camera. Mine is pointing at my garage door. It only records when it detects movement and you can adjust sensitivity of what it detects. In the first month or so I got mug shots of all the local cats !!

For the really paranoid (me? never!) you can set it up to e-mail you what it records. So you can get a picture of the guy breaking into your house some where safe before he nicks your PC and car keys.

I was going to set this up when I got ADSL but my line failed the test. *ugger!

If you're smart you may be able to buy a better quality camera with a USB port and the security software separately. This way you get the best of both worlds!

'Itsacrashi!! Sorry Cem http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. Glad to hear you are ok. The car looked sooooo good at Trax aswell. Nevermind, as has been mentioned you'll enjoy the Makinen even more. Look forward to seeing it.
