MY00 UK Turbo 2000

Just after a bit of advice. Got a MY00 UK turbo 2000 in subaru blue with all STi body parts, bit of engine tuning (ECU re-map, de-cat exhast, forge dump valve and white line suspension).

A full Subaru Service History, 76,000 miles on the clock.

What sort of price should I be looking to sell this for?

Don't ask this here - you won't like the response. :)

Paul3446 02 February 2007 04:54 PM

I reckon about £4,495.

A bit more if it had been standard. :thumb:

See told you you wouldn't like the response :)

Keeping mine - can't let it go for bugger all.

Been offered £6800 for my MY99. (View my scooby) But I love it so much I can't part with it.

If it is a straight car, with lots of history/receipts, no nasty bumps or scuffs on the body work, i'd say £6500. :thumb:

pslewis 02 February 2007 08:25 PM

Yeah £5000 I'd say as it stands ....

Not fooked about with and it would have been a £6750 motor

JPF 02 February 2007 10:25 PM

If it helps I bought my UK MY99 full de-cat with leather seats and aircon for £5500 about 8 months ago and more recently I've seen a couple of MY99s for sale round £5000, suppose it depends on condition etc.

So I've got a MY00 T2000 UK car in good condition, standard spec, full Subaru service history, I'm only the second owner, the car has 70K miles on it so wondering what it might be worth. It's in the dark metallic blue colour with of course the standard silver alloys.

About 6.5 k, depending on the bodyw*rk/interior. :)

Daz1121 02 February 2007 11:43 PM

The edge of the driver seat is slightly worn as to be expected and exterior a few little marks on the rear bumper. Don't plan to sell the car the in the near future but how standard does a car have to be to get the best price for it. It does have a slight modification as in a magnex exhaust system fron 1st cat back and thats the only one. No remaps, gold wheels, aftermarket dump valves, extra bodywork etc, apart from the exhaust which I only done to enjoy the Scooby burble is the only way the car is non standard.

It really depends who's buying. I would pay the bit extra for an unmodified UK car in nice condition with full documentation. Others might want the various "upgrades".

Daz1121 02 February 2007 11:55 PM

Bubba, in your opinion would my car appeal to those looking for a standard car do you think as it has the full Subaru service history

Definitely, but you'd have to accept nearer to 6k or under from a private buyer because there's no protection for the buyer. I paid a little over 6k last November for a pristine UK wagon, from a dealer, with a full year's RAC warranty and all the history you could ever want. '99 V, 63k. :)

I think I got a bargain.

Maybe mine isn''t for sale then if that's all they are worth.
Wouldn't clear half the debt I'm in, so can't see the point of letting it go when it's cost me £38,000 over the last four years lol..
Oh well.

You spent the money on something you enjoy! How many thousands of pounds are pissed up against the wall yearly, or turned into blue tobacco smoke? :)

"You never make the money back on mods". That ought to be a Scoobynet sticky.

salsa-king 03 February 2007 01:04 AM

why do so many spend so much on their mods on a car tho.. new this new that.. new wheels, new FMIC, pods etc, xorts.. etc etc if you can sell a car with all thoses extras.. its as if ppl won't touch them with a barge pole if ppl have 'modded' it. But how many cars are still std these days?

Fuzz 03 February 2007 01:11 AM

People don't mod them to sell, well I don't.
I mod it to get out of the car what I want.
i.e, more speed. :D
who gives a toss what the resale value is.

salsa-king 03 February 2007 11:55 AM

yep, i did my car up cus its what i wanted from it :)

to me a looked after car.. with mods already done makes a 'cheaper' buy as your not having to start on it all over again :)
