At what sort of spec does the 05 STi become comparable to the Spec C?

it cant tbh - a Spec C is a lot lighter with extra bracing plus a twin scroll turbo, water tank in the back plus loads more that owners and experts can tell you.

it is the best scoob in every way the best bar the Litcho Type 25 by a long stretch

T123VOR 31 January 2007 12:05 PM

Its not about the car itself- I know the Spec C is a better car

It's whether I have 15months odd warranty or no warranty for the same money!!

Trevor

sadam 31 January 2007 12:10 PM

Spec C, but then again I'm bias and its for sale!!!

Luckyscoob 31 January 2007 12:15 PM

Go drive em both mate. Also depends if you want a newer car sitting on your drive, and whether the burble is important to you. Whilst I completely agree that a spec c is the better 'purists' car, for me part of owning a scooby is the fabulous noise, and a lightly modded 06 sti suits what I need. Nice choice to have tho:)

PCM 31 January 2007 12:22 PM

One for sale here with quite a few extra's https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...pec-c-ltd.html

Aye, i know that, so would a STi 333 be on par point-to-point, 350, 370, 400bhp be about the same? That's the bit i was interested in. ie. Would i be disappointed getting a Spec C from a kitted out 370bhp 04 STi?

...or would it have to be the RA?

Bhp means nothing imo.

the twin scroll setup provides excellent driveability and no lag.. there for is a very good eveyday car, where a 380bhp-400bhp scoob wont be as great ;)

there will be NO difference as the powerdelivery on the JDM is better :thumb:

I know it's quicker spooling, how quick are we talking?

1 bar at what RPM?
Full boost at what RPM?

i get 1.6bar @ 3380rpm

about 1bar @ 2200rpm

but i am not 100% sure as its too fast...cant look at the gauge for too long :D

Rasher 31 January 2007 02:27 PM

That doesn't sound right, the gap between the two i mean. For example i'm at 1 bar about 2900-3000 and 1.53 bar at 3200-3300.

But i know what you mean about lOOking forward :D

Is the water (I/C) tank in the back unique to the Spec C ?

Sorry for going O.T but i one have in my boot and its an MY05 STI TYPE UK PPP :wonder:

Bug Eyed Peas 31 January 2007 06:29 PM

Its normal, I have one in mine 52 STi. The one in the Spec C is much larger and sits actually in the boot IIRC in the middle, not to the right as ours do ;)

How easy will it be to sell a Spec C? Very small market and most dealers won't want to know.
