Anyone else had a big rise in insurance this year?
 

Just got my insurance renewal quote in ... up 36% on last year. :(

Apparantly this is due to 'revised' insurance ratings for Subarus in 2007.

Am I being BS'd or what?

Mine not due yet but expecting it to go up bearing in mind the number of thefts of late.

Mine went up by £15, but I lowered my annual mileage and value of the car by 2k and it went down by £40 :)

Mine went up by £605 but that was due to a theft claim back in july 06, went from £12095-£1800.:razz:
Needless to say i swapped insurance from privilage-Aplan, and now i pay £895,Big difference give them a try :thumb:

Tried an online quote with the same bunch
- online quote was strangely less than the renewal price.

Phoned their renewal hotline
- they revised their quote but couldn't match their online quote.

The real rub is that they are still cheaper than the competition (by a few quid) - but way way way way dearer than last year.

Sounds like market (profit) adjustment to me ...

Give A Plan in Thatcham a ring and ask for Claire Ironside (01635 874646). The speicalise in high performance cars and even have a jap section upstairs. She has saved me loads of cash! Mention me (James Smith) and she will be only too happy to help.
