It's a mare keeping the power down, the bugger spins in sixth gear.

hectic 22 January 2007 06:39 PM

very nice... very very nice .... :) nice to see its not 'slammed down' on its arse and fitted with stooopid mahoosive blingy rims....

*just as an aside, do you get any grief from the 'feds' about those 'plates'???

No grief with the plates, just grief insuring it. On the rims side they are the winter wheels, G60 steelies in 15" so as to clear the 4 pots and big discs. I have a set of refurbed BBS RS splittys in 7.5 and 8.5j with a polished lip. They look the dogs and are ultra cool with streched rubber. They came off a G60 golf.

There is a guy in germany who does an awsome job on the bbs rims. Take a look on flea-bay as they are sometimes on there.

hectic 22 January 2007 06:57 PM

That is so cool  That looks totally mint just like brand new :) My friend is building a mark 2 golf using a 20 valve turbo too and I can't wait until he's finished it. He's using the Leon Cupra 6 speed box in his.

What sort of power is that putting out?

Good choice of box, iv'e got the same but rebuilt with a quaife LSD in it. Got 239.1 on the rollers on saturday, with a perfect power graph making power all the way the power just climbed and climbed.:luxhello:

Paulo P 22 January 2007 08:27 PM

That's good power in something that is so light :D My mate has a LSD for his box too I think but I can't remember what he has.

Still with the quaife in it spins the wheels in all gears but gets traction quicker

Because that is the whole point. A caddy with 239.1 bhp and so retro looking you'd never know:)

Multijfj 22 January 2007 09:18 PM
