Cheers fellas. ;)
How are they for fitting? Easy? hard? |
|
Fitted a HKS fmic to my classic 4 or 5 years ago. From what i can remember, it was a straight forward job.
Jack the car up, whip the bumper of, scrap the OE air filter etc (have to fit a cone for the room), fit the new pipes in place, bolt fmic in place, massacre the front bumper (dremel or something) so that it will go back on. stand back and look at the car. wonder what mod you can do next. thats about it. Probably takes 3 or 4 hours altogether. Remember to lower car off of jack before trying it out, otherwise its sh1t! |

http://i18.tinypic.com/2vltcgx.jpg Will take about 1 full day if approached sensibly, or 2 days if your first time! Worth it imho. Lets you do this: DropShots Day Graham |
Couple of my FMIC pics:

Also make sure you have silicone hose's for all the joins in the hard pipes. Mine didn't come with a pipe to connect to the turbo. Micky |

Interesting read on the LADS forum about the dump valve. I have that phenomenon with mine. Might give the standard DV a try.

http://www.justgofaster.com/gallery/...2-3[1].jpg http://www.justgofaster.com/gallery/...shroud%201.jpg Quick tip. See the arrows in the last pic? You want to make up a little shroud to cover that gap and direct airflow through your rad. |
My Hybrid FMIC fitted to my Type R...
