hold on a minute!!!
it says it has 8 previous owners but has only covered 22k thats not right!!! oh yea its an old ford maybe they could never get it started to drive anywhere lol |
I assume you lot dont like Capri's then .... you've havent lived ....
|
that crapi is in the same town as me .. if you saw it in the flesh you would like it alot more ... also sounds a beast
|
Take the gay stripes off and that would look alright. 3 litre V6 and RWD with no toys to spoil your fun. Might not be as fast as but with a nice exhaust that'd sound better than most scoobs and put a lot more smiles on your face too :D
|
I think it's cool, in a retro way, would remove the stripes though.
|
Must be something wrong with me, I think that's very cool actually :)
Swapping the stripes to white would be better. |
Nothing wrong with you DW, looks good to me too. I like the stripes the way they are and the black alloys

As it eats Impreza's, I emailed him asking for the power output.
Answer = Don't know. Brilliant !! |
You must be really bored ........ more so than I am

Personally I'd change the stripes to silver, then it would look like the matchbox one I had as a kid:thumb: Anyone who's not driven a V6 Capri out of the side window hasn't lived:luxhelo: It's even better when it's your mates that you're hooning, eh Olly;):D |
Please don't think I don't like Capris.....I had a 2.8i Special and loved it......I would still like a nice Brooklands, 2.8i or a 3.0S.
It was purely the "Eats Imprezas For Breakfast" bit that I found very amusing......having owned both......I know which is faster and it wasn't built in Dagenham!! The car on eBay does actually look quite cool in a quasi-saloon car racer type way, but from the description I was looking for a Chevy 5.7 litre motor. |
Coming from a council house near you.

The Impreza IS the new Capri.
In the 70’s, Capri’s, especially in V6 form were cheap power. Young Barry would buy a suitable machine, fit a set of polished Wolfraces, a top of the range Pioneer, a silly rear spoiler, some go-faster stripes, shove a broom handle up the exhaust, jack up the rear suspension, and go screeching down roads pretending he is the king of the road. Owning a Capri meant that he stood pretty tall in the local council estate pub car park. In the Noughties, Impreza’s, especially in WRX form are cheap power. Young Barry will buy a suitable machine, fit a set of polished Speedlines, a top of the range Pioneer, a silly rear spoiler, some go-faster rally stripes, a ridiculous exhaust, lower the suspension, and go screeching down roads pretending he is the king of the road. Owning an Impreza means that he stood pretty tall in the local council estate pub car park. Some Capri’s (not all I might add) are now rather cool. Not one single Impreza on the road currently can be classed as “cool”. Or is it just me?? |
A mate once said to me the Impreza is the XR3 of the 90s so theres truth in the that somewhere.
I know of a 1978 3L Capri which has a genuine 27K on the clock in black sat in a garage in Spain. Been there over 10 years. Just need to find someone to fund the fuel bill to get it here. :) |
