power fc and commander

what is the commander for and where does it go:confused:

jaytc2003 15 November 2006 06:08 PM

the commander is a handheld unit that allows you to adjust parameters of the map, (like add extra fuel//timing etc and lots of other things)
You dont need to have it connected to the ecu though

banny sti 15 November 2006 08:02 PM

Here is a pic of it fitted in my car, to the left of the steering. Ideal position whilst driving as you can see it clearly.

it can be taken out anytime you want. You just need to unplug it from the ecu. Some people dont bother having them at all, however its good to keep an eye on the sensors and knock levels etc, and can often warn you of impending problems

Just out of interest, whats the gauge in between the temp and revs?

Playsatan 17 November 2006 12:29 AM

That's the DCCD status lights i.e. how much you've locked up the centre diff

terence 17 November 2006 08:22 AM

out of interest what are the other 2 devices in the centre of the dash and under the stereo?? :)

Playsatan 17 November 2006 08:44 AM

Centre of the dash? If you mean above the rev counter thats a knocklink. The thing under the stereo is an apexi boost controller.
