What, a thousand years of Japanese tradition is upheld by an American after all the Japs get killed? Yeah.

Tidgy 19 October 2006 03:33 PM

the tradition still exisist to some extent, another case of america trying to impose its beliefs and will on another country. all though through history they arn't the only one, england has done its fair share

Brendan Hughes 19 October 2006 03:37 PM

That's not my point, it's just typical Hollywood that it takes an American to save the world, wherever, whenever, whatever. You wouldn't see Cruise getting machine-gunned and Watanabe making the presentation, that's all. I thought the rest was great, just the last bit spoiled it for me.

The British already had an an Enigma - the Poles had supplied it just before WW2 started (not to mention that it was commercially available for several years). The valuable bit was the books of rotor and plug settings that came with it.
