I'm just gaining the interest here, before i start a new thread.

Well i've fixed the gearbox, fitted a new turbo(a Superzilla 53), awaiting a brand new Exedy twin plate clutch/flywheel combo to turn up and fit, changed the pistons for Wiseco's with new Subaru rings, then it's off to AndyF for a remap, which should net the power at 420hp+.

Thing is, i want a change and really fancy a Skyline GTR32, which i could possibly take in p/x if the price is right.

Price....i'll be looking for £11,500 which i feel is fair considering all what i've just done and spent.

Mate you duno how tempting this is. I could trawl through your previous threads. But what did you opt for on the box in the end ?.

Also - obviously difficult to say until mapped, but whats it like as a daily driver with the turbo you now have ?.

Is the bodywork still top notch etc.

Got the box out and repaired, but it was more mashed up than initially thought, so a donor box was sourced and parts were swopped and replaced. Think i paid close on £500. :(

I've only since getting the box fixed, driven the car to Andy's and back for mapping, but the clutch was knackered, so i'm still waiting on the new twin plate appearing. First impressions of the SZ53 were good. So much smoother and sweeter than the old 20G, but then the SZ has only done 1000 miles or so.

I'd resprayed the front splitter, as it was fairly well stone chipped, but you know it happens as soon as you go a drive. :rolleyes:

The clutch should be here within a week, engine will be back in asap and then i'll run the new pistons rings in and change the oil and filter.

After that, i'll go see Andy again. :D

Ment to say, i have ordered some new Godspeed discs and DS2500's for the front brakes too, which will be fitted and bedded in for the new buyer. ;)

Someone is going to get a very nice car here.

Don't do it, unless you get a R33/34 no other skyline would do IMHO.

I would bet even a 550BHP R32GTR (as far as you go on std bottom end), would still feel slower than a 400+ scoob

You would be jumping from a top level scoob to an entry level sykline IMHO.

But each unto there own.;)

I know man. Had first of all thought a Midnight Purple 33(which is defo still possible ;)), but i'm thinking more along the lines of 32 with plenty mods....defo 550hp+, as i've seen a vid of a 34 with 600hp and fook me did it get to 200 awefully quick! :eek:

Clutch is coming today, so it should be getting ran in this weekend.

Will prolly get to see AndyF in a couple weeks.

Do you not think you might change your mind about selling after you get it mapped on your new turbo? :D
I expect it will be a different kettle of fish over what you have experienced with it up 'til now.

My thoughts as well - A proper 400+++ bhp scoob no matter what rollers it goes on is going to be fec*ing quick even by skyline standards. Hopefully you just want a change and not for the extra power you think you might get from a skyline. ;)

I defo think it'll blow me away, but i've had Scoob's for 6 years, on and off and i now want a change.

I may well regret it, but we all know it's possible to go back. :D

Clutch turned up and has been fitted to the engine, which is now in the car. Tomorrow i will build the rest of it up.

If anyone is genuinely interested in the car, i would consider selling it before it's been remapped for 11k dead. This would save me the £240(i think that's his charge?) for AndyF's fee and save the buyer £500 from my asking price. Let me know if that's of interest to you and we'll take it from there...

Ment to say, the car now has STi5 struts and PI springs.

Having experienced the performence of this car I have to say it really is a great setup that works well. Somebody going to get a bargin for a car with this spec. BTTT for Saturday morning Dave. :thumb:
