My trackday Cosworth
Well i expect a bucket load of abuse for posting this ...but what the hell.
before you all start i'm here on scoobynet looking to buy a newage impreza for a daily drive..i've had a classic wrx before and i'm back for another scooby.. The 3 door started like this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../COSSIE118.jpg after a coat of Nimbus Grey now looks like this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...r/94368a8d.jpg and is currently looking like this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...r/a1582fbc.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Picture145.jpg |

|
that looks stunning! Is it finished now or how much more have you got to do???
|
Good to see an original looking Cossie going on the road. Is it a Cossie shell? Good choice of colour...Engine spec? Brings back memories..........
|
Gorgeous car. What spec is it? Do you have any more work in progress pictures?
|
Why would you expect abuse, looks fantastic !
Nimbus grey, is that an original colour ? |
cheers for the positive comments fella's
Its a proper 3 Door cosworth shell The engine is due to be dyno'd soon and is being built to a reasonable spec for trackdays.. Nimus grey is not an original ford colour..Its an audi TT colour I've loads of build pics which i will post if theres enough interest..dont wont to bore you.. |
Wow, don't think anyone in there rite mind would slate your car....

Because the car is to be used mainly for trackdays i made a bias Pedal Box http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../COSSIE077.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../COSSIE084.jpg and modifed the shell to accept it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../COSSIE005.jpg all the suspension parts have been powered coated http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../COSSIE204.jpg and inside the car is very little to keep the weight down..i have made a new car loom with only the essential components http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../COSSIE176.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...or/revcoun.jpg and now i'm waitng for the engine to be finished so i can have some fun.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...r/638f91d5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...or/ebay130.jpg |

That colour suits it so well, didnt think it was an original colour, from my recollection most were WHite or Moonstone blue.
Three door Cossies just take me back to 1986. |
looks quality, what sort of spec is the engine?

The homologation doofer special or Group A (I think) also had split rear window in a 3 door shell. I was wanting one when i first got a proper job... Alas I was too sensible and ran for a week after trying to get an insurance quote.... :( ...or I made it up as I can't seem to find an iota of proof from t'interweb that the bl**dy thing ever existed....
