I bring good news!!

Any import before Sep 95 is exempt from the full cat test, as it doesn't exactly match the DOT register.

Therefore, your car should be tested with the non-cat test which is much more lenient.

Happened to me with my MY95 WRX :)

is a remap required to better control the fueling

still worried that the car is running to rich!

Any help on this would be great

thanks

You can't properly remap early ecus, therefore you would need to change it and go down the Apexi Power FC route. Quite expensive I'm afraid, about £800 all in.

Loads of good info here on Andy Fs site:

How is the car running? you might have a boost leak someware so when coming on boost all the air isnt going to the inlet and then overfueling, do you have a boost gauge?

just a thought

imports do tend to run v rich anyway as standard. Check and clean the airfilter may help it a bit

Is the lamda sensor working? Mine failed once on emissions due to that.
