Adjustable Diff

Does the adjustable diff on a classic impreza RA need anything connecting to the factory fit handbrake in order to function correctly ??

I'm fitting a hydraulic handbrake but there is a wire that connects to the factory handbrake, presumably for the handbrake light on the dash, but i just wondered if it did anything else too :wonder:

Thanks Chris.

I know that when the handbrake is operated the diff switches to the "diff free" position regardless of where the control/indicator switch is...even if fully locked.

So thjere must be some connection between the handbrake and diff controller.

It works off the handbrake tell-tale lamp, so Id try to incorporate the switch (or a replacement) if you can.

That was my thought too

Yes, as above.

It's so you can do handbrake turns without damaging the drivetrain. ;)

Go to www.neetronics.com site and look at all their data, explains everything quite well.

Put a standard type handle cover on and make the release button in to a switch, as you pull the leaver up press the end
