I just had a friend of mine go into the alex motorsports store in HK they dont have it in stock, but I think Im going to order one and give it a try.
I will let you know how it works when it arrives. going to put it on a 754 box with a straight cut ppg gearset.

Still uses clutch on every change?

harvey 07 September 2006 10:38 PM

I think the clutch will be necessary on a synchro OE box.
It would be interesting to see the photographs you have David.

that gear change is far too slow to be advantagious, the throw on the gear leaver should only be very slight a quick flick and in gear!! notice they did not do any hard accelerating with it!!

Find an incar vid of simon norris with the same kit then.

The Chief 14 September 2006 10:04 AM

I think Andy more than most knows what he is talking about on here:)

harvey 12 January 2007 06:38 PM

David : What progress have you made on this and do you have any pictures?

Jon : How did you get on with the Alex Motorsport sequential shift?

harvey 15 January 2007 12:00 AM

????????????????///

David_Wallis 17 January 2007 01:25 PM

Harvey,

Not much progress due to other commitments, is still on the bench, and a pic wont do it justice, will dig out the camcorder when I get chance :)

FWIW:

RCMS are now in a situation to sell their kit, which is very nice :D

Elite transmissions have a 6spd sequential but its not rated at silly power yet, and Modena can do you one but it will be RWD :)

My gearbox plans have changed after talking to Stuart @ Teg and Frank @ Modena :)

Alex motorsports no longer supplies the kit, so no joy here.
