Anyone do isometric exercise?

I've been using a bullworker on an off for almost a year. Forget weights, this is the way forward. Isometrics = real muscle strength per mass of muscle.

Kept catching the hairs on my back:D

Bruce Lee did it - he was very strong for his size yet still retained speed and the all important explosive power that he possesed, saying that he did train for 40 hours a week:cuckoo:

Bullworker? Thats a blast from the past! One things for sure people like Arnie advertising *didnt* use them to build the huge physiques they had using isometrics, its similar to static contraction training isnt it (someone more knowledgeable will step in) and it something that has had mixed results.

I do this one now and again in the privacy of my own home as I'd look a real nob down the gym doing it :)

All that stuff about Stomach Vacuum is a macho version of Pilates. And its a shame that more blokes don't venture into a Pilates class :( ...for fear of looking "a real nob" :lol1:
