Front splitters, classic and newage.

I'm about to buy a new front splitter for my my03 sti, and after speaking to Mark at HT Autos, he's agreed to doing some group buy prices.
They are:

03- 05 STi = £75.00 Posted
http://htautos.co.uk/images/st/st_skirtrubber.jpg
92-98 Jun = £90.00 Posted
http://htautos.co.uk/images/st/st_Newjun2.jpg
92-98 Hta = £90.00 Posted
http://htautos.co.uk/images/st/st_earlysplitter2.JPG
98-01 P1 = £90.00 Posted
http://htautos.co.uk/images/st/st_P1...runpainted.jpg

Painting is £94.00 for all Early splitters and £76.38 for STi 03-06 for colour matching. Only £120 for matt black.
All prices include VAT.
5 of each starts the group buy :D

These are good quality splitters and the paintwork is top notch too.
Here's a picture of mine which Mark repaired and resprayed.

I may be interested in a P1 one for my MY99 UK Classic but I'd like to know how the splitter fits to the original bumper...?

cw42 05 August 2006 12:01 PM

Your front bumper already has holes for these splitters to fit too underneath. Just a case of getting some self tappers or a nut and bolt and putting them on. :)

Neanderthal 05 August 2006 01:08 PM

Would the 03-06 Sti splitter fit a a standard WRX?
Seems like a hell of a good price! can basically get one colour coded for the same price as a Scott Lowe unpainted one!

hoskib 05 August 2006 04:03 PM

wow, great price:D

very interested, but has anybody got any other examples of the quality of the paintwork please?

Barnesy 05 August 2006 06:07 PM

Check out http://www.htautos.co.uk/ for examples of paint work.

One other question, what's the lead time on these if we were to order?
Is this the same guy who took 2 months to decide he wasn't making the CF splitter?

don't know about the c/fibre thing but he sells the new age splitters on ebay, so i'm guessing he can bang these out in no time.

To be fair to mark, it wasn't him that took 2 months to make a decision, it was me that started the thread 2 months too early :) and if you read the thread, it wasn't ever going to be a cf splitter anyway, it was a cf "look" splitter.

cw42 05 August 2006 07:51 PM

stisan, the price for painting is extra. price for the splitter first, then price for painting.
makes the one you've ordered = £75 + £76.38 = £151.38 in wr blue

Neanderthal 06 August 2006 12:04 PM

Got one on order from Revolution but this price is half of theirs and it's still in development!
So.....

I'm interested in the p1 splitter 98/01 painted, but isn't this still a bit expensive £184 for a group buy? DR Motorsport seem to be cheaper or am i missing something.

you could go for the DR motorsport P1 'style' painted for £180,but it looks fcuk all like a P1:lol1:

or go for their P1 replica which is £300.

makes £184 for a painted replica look a bargain to me!:thumb:

(by the way, not meant as a dig at DR motorsport, just showing the price comparison;))

Neanderthal 07 August 2006 08:50 AM

Right, it seems the newage splitter will fit both WRX and STi's so I'm a definate for one of these :D

cw42 07 August 2006 08:55 AM

Nice one :thumb:
I make that 5 for the newage. Contact Mark at: http://www.htautos.co.uk/3.html and tell him your username and contact details.
Hopefully should have mine this week, with a writeup of how they're made, painted and installed :)

Nice one merv, I'm picking mine up this thursday :D

EddScott 08 August 2006 12:09 PM

Has the p1 splitter got the cut out for the "hedge removal" hook :)

Might be interested in this. £184 delivered in (for me anyway) Sonic Blue 74F?

cw42 08 August 2006 12:14 PM

As before Edd, contact Mark from the link above, and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to answer any questions :)

Spoiler 08 August 2006 12:24 PM

What about the bugeye......

:-(

Neanderthal 08 August 2006 01:57 PM

Phoned mark to place my order, apparantly I need the STi 'winglet' pieces for my WRX bumper :(

Once I've sourced these I'll order the splitter. Gutted, was hoping I'd have it pretty quick as well :(
