9.84s @ 146mph

I just wanted to congratulate my husband publicly for running a 9.84s 1/4 mile at 146mph yesterday (Santa Pod test day.) :luxhello:

I cannot even begin to explain how much blood, sweat and tears have gone in to this project, but it feels bloody good today!

With a bit more tune (maybe NOS?) and a bit more time, Paul believes he can go lower (oooer).

I would also like to give a big :thumb: to Andy and Barbara, I imagine they know what I am talking about!

More detailed info here:

Liz Blamire
Mrs Zen

PS, did anyone tell you Andy did a 9.3 @ 159mph

Phil 15 July 2006 10:18 AM

Impressive

Well done Zen Performance

Gutmann pug 15 July 2006 10:22 AM

A great result .......... but try throwing a few corners into the equation next time :D :D

RoRu 15 July 2006 10:26 AM

Well done Paul!!

A well deserved result :thumb:

And a 9.3 for Andy  TOTB is certainly going to be good this year. (shame i can't make it :(:( )

gatecrasher3 15 July 2006 10:35 AM

That's a fantastic time. I am really looking forward to TOTB to see if the Subaru's can destroy the Evo's :)

Have to agree with you there m8.
I understand that one hell of a lot of work goes into these cars, but i'd much rather see them lapping Brands, Silverstone and 'The Ring' etc. :notworthy
I would just feel short changed with everything being over 9.5 seconds!

Then again, now I know how my other half feels! :D

:Whatever_ That is why the car is also fully prepped for the Time Attack pro series and will be at Silverstone on the 20th August.

Being able to do a 9.84s 1/4 mile in a car that also lapped Knockhill (Time Attack Round 3 on 1st July) at a very respectable 57.540s is no mean feat believe me. And with more time to be spent on the set-up, Silverstone should see a track improvement.

Sheeesh, how much do you guys want?! :lol1:
