hi mate, nice to see another one of these cars, not many good ones about, i am still trying to sell mine and had absoloutley no response whatsoever, it is very difficult to sell em on at this age, mine has a lot less miles on it as well, best of luck with the sale though and by the way, dont know if it is just me, but i cant get to your photos of this car from the link.

Cheers for the comments. Have you placed an ad on here? Not sure if I'm around the right point price-wise. I paid £5500 for it 9 months ago from a dealer, and have since spent about £1500 tidying it up, hence I feel it would be a good buy at a shade under £5k?
Need to sell due to imminent house purchase:brickwall

thats better mate, i can see em now. i paid just over 6k for mine just over 14 months ago, ive spent about 1300 quid on it and put it up for 6k again, but got no interest at all, looks like i'm gonna have to accept the dealers part ex price at this rate.

B9GLY 03 July 2006 01:12 PM

May be interested mate, give me a bell and we'll discuss.

Marky-San 04 July 2006 12:15 PM

Good luck with the sale mate - looks a nice clean example. I used to own No.025/100, though its disappeared of the face of the earth?

Surprising fast in standard form as well. Dont believe the 250 quote though, every car I know of rolling roaded at 270-280 with only an exhaust change (and i'm not talking CAT removal either).

'MC' MarkC 05 July 2006 09:52 AM

Yeah, I had heard that re the bhp figures. How was yours 25/100 tho', when they built 200? Different version or just typo error?

The car was pretty clean when I bought it anyway. But if you looked carefully you could see a number of small car park dings down the sides, and me being a stickler for good paintwork I got it sorted. The guy I found to do it used to do paintwork for McClaren (I knew the painter's Mum!), so it was good quality without spending ££££s:cool:

Marky-San 06 July 2006 02:21 PM

I used to run 'The Original STi Register' - so its definitely no typo ;)

There were 2 runs, a '100' and a '200'. Both car specs are near as damn it the same. The 100's were earlier by only a month or two then the later 100's overlapped with release of the 200's (if that makes sense LOL!!).

Paint job by former McClaren boy - selling point on its own LOL!

Good luck with the sale - its a well spec'd beastie for sure.

Andy Porter 07 July 2006 12:20 PM

That register rings a bell Marky ;) Hope your keeping well and the family m8.

BTTT for a rare early limited car ( ex no. 1/100 owner ) :D

B9GLY 08 July 2006 05:33 PM

Does this apply to the rear light clusters as well, not the STi rear light s on this model (and I am not saying it isn't an STi ;) ).

Nate.

Marky-San 09 July 2006 10:42 AM

Version 1's dont have red crackle painted manifolds, nor clear/red rear clusters. The version 2 as rightly said started the red paint manifold, and not sure exactly when the clear/red clusters first surfaced - but I know it a popular change for early UK and imported cars. I did mine.

Andy Porter- the man who had no.1/100! Now that was one of the rarest of the rare (the other being 1/200 LOL!! who was never found, but doesnt sound as cool as 1/100 does i?). Andy, I'll need to PM you and catch up - hope all is well with you and the family also ;)

dpb and steppers - good to see your still around!

MMT WRX 09 July 2006 11:01 AM

A guy I know has a 96 Import Sti Ra V-Limited the engine is a DW5PR
which I think concurs, but the manifolds aren't red...should they be?

I'm Mark, posting the car + details on behalf of Jason, who doesn't have internet access. I'm actually a BM enthusiast (now ducking:Suspiciou ), hence the name 'MC' etc due to previously having owned a couple of M Coupes. I'm currently running an old [modded] E36 M3. You will most often find me haunting the e36coupe or z3mcoupe forums (naturally).
I have known Jason for about 3yrs, and he is a driving enthusiast like me, hence our friendship. Hope that's cleared that up! ;)

PM me when you want further details for the sprayer, and I'll get them for you.
