Mudflaps ! (yes or no )

Hi all i've been thinking about a set of mudflaps for my car but i'm just not sure if they look superb or just a bit of a tacky look ,
I thought i'd get the valued opinion of my fellow snetters so feel free to comment .

Any pics of your scoobs with flaps would be great :thumb:

Cheers , Dave

I too share your dilema. Just been looking on ebay and they tend to go for 50-60 quid, trouble is i cant decide whether i want them or not.
I have been pondering this for the last two weeks.
On the business park where i work there is a car, same model and colour as mine with blue flaps and white sti loco and it looks cool.
Trouble is when i look at pics on ebay i'm not so sure :wonder:

You and me have the same thoughts my friend , one day i'll see a car with them on and think that looks the b**lox and then other days i'm just not sure :wonder:

PHILL-WALES 06 May 2006 12:34 PM

MUD flaps

i put a set on my car other week and makes the car look much better also seems to make the car look wider.:) go for it i say .

nik52wrx 06 May 2006 12:35 PM

If you manage to get a set cheap enough you can always wip them off if you dont like them, can't really justify it at 60 quid though.

Beware of ones on Ebay. Lettering tends to come away and they are basically cut up sheets of plastic u could make urself. About a fivers worth used on mine!! Luckily new car already had genuine STI jobbies fitted from new which are the business but not worth nearly £400!! I have seen Scoobyworld items and they are pretty good copies.

That is a sweet ride mate , and you say they are the flaps in my post earlier off of ebay ?

Top graphics they look quality on the black paintwork :thumb: , did you put the logo's on the flaps yourself too :)

Fit them to protect the super thin paint work along your doors:D

lordretsudo 06 May 2006 03:56 PM

I have the £60 ones off e-bay on mine and I think they look great. Mind you, even if I didn't, I would still fit them. It's amazing how badly stone-chipped the lower halves of the sills are on my car, which was 18 months old when I got it. They really need the protection that the flaps provide.

antonm 06 May 2006 04:17 PM

I got these from rallyflapz.com

scoobynutta555 06 May 2006 04:20 PM

I'm not a fan of mudflaps at all. Can't see why anyone would want them, they spoil the lines of the car and yes they do look tacky. Had them on my 22b only because they came with the car, kept them on as stonechips are meant to be a bitch on the rear arches. If I kept the car they would have come off.

LOL at the strips and the strips and spotlight combo.

SivMY05Sti 06 May 2006 04:24 PM

Cheap ones off Ebay....

If you don't mind spending a few more £££ the ones from Scott Lowe are supposed to be the best ones to get

scoob158 06 May 2006 05:02 PM

hi ,I got my mudflaps from scoobyworld, really good quality and the brackets fit perfectly, I got mine in plain blue and stuck some small prodrive stickers on them...they look the dogs testies and for half the price of original prodrive ones:p :p :p

Yes,I'd agree with that....

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/0...5/7b8f567c.jpg

they may look daft, but look a whole lot better than pebble-dashed lower doors:)

scoobynutta555 06 May 2006 05:10 PM

Never had any pebble dashing on the 3 Imprezas I didnt have flaps on, you must drive along gravel roads a lot ;)
