Hks SQV Dump valve

Since having the car remapped it doesnt seem as loud as it was i notice it has a screw any idea what way does what ??

screwing the screw in will increase the pre-load on the bov, screwing it out/anti-clockwise will lessen the pre-load. The further in you screw it the higher boost it will take to allow it to blow off. I recommened screwing it in until roughly only 4-5 threads are visable after the lock nut. should be plenty loud!

mine doesnt have a screw?? must be a fake one then.doh!!

lol no mate its a real hks, they made some models of the ssqv without a screw aswell, supposedly self adjusting but my japanese isnt the greatest. I have seen many of both, with the screw and without.

you can get the inserts on ebay aswell, alot of places stock them, not expensive at all. The silve/gold insert are the same. I would recommend them over the purple anyday!!!

Thanks for that, boost has gone from 1.2 to 1.5 guess it will need some fettling then.

is there a major drop in boost pressure during gear changes? if so then adjust the bov clockwise to tighten the spring more

Will try it tomorrow:)
