hotels...

why do hotels all kick you out in the morning before you have opened your eyes

are there any hotel chains that let you have breakfast at midday and kick you out in the afternoon:notworthy

mart360 31 March 2006 07:24 PM

lazy moo :D:D:D

hotels need you out so they can clean your room!!!

if however you put a dnd on the door, and you are staying for more than one day, they will generally (if you ask) clean your room around you.

you have to remember they have in excess of 2-300 rooms, it takes on average 15 mins per room.... you do the math

i might patent a hotel chain that gives you 24 hours if you pay for it, what do you think:thumb:

i think if you pay for a 24hour period you should get it:D

if you put a do not disturb on your door the cleaner always comes in

Most 5* hotels will let you stay a little bit later. If you pay for the house keeper to stay late and the breakfast chef to stay late you can sleep at my hotel until 2pm

sarasquares 31 March 2006 07:53 PM

i might hide under my bed next time:D

dpb 31 March 2006 07:56 PM

Her majestys ...:wonder:

Luan Pra bang 31 March 2006 07:56 PM

The house keepers should clean under the bed

davyboy 31 March 2006 07:58 PM

I mean, if it's that important then pay for another night!

thats defeating the object, i want to be able to pay for a full 24 hours, i bet you can do it in other countrys:p

davyboy 31 March 2006 08:04 PM

Most hotels I have stayed in want you out by 11-mid day. Where ever in the world I am staying.

I small B&B might be more understanding of your needs ......failing that why not ask!

davyboy 31 March 2006 08:13 PM

....but wouldn't you be better to ask the B&B/Hotel?

sarasquares 31 March 2006 08:14 PM

You can pay for 24 hours but you said you diddn't want to pay :cuckoo:

If you want more time in the room check in earlier
;)

or just ask if you can sleep a bit longer but don't expect breakfast.

sarasquares 31 March 2006 08:16 PM

all i want is to know if any hotels let you stay for a FULL 24 hours without paying extra..............obviousley not:(

Luan Pra bang 31 March 2006 08:18 PM

Depends what time you check in. Somebody else has to check for the next day you know.

sarasquares 31 March 2006 08:20 PM

i know that you muppet:D

i thought there might be a system where you get 24 hours whatever time you check in and the cleaners ..well fcuk the cleaners cos they always leave someone elses pubic hairs in the bath:lol1:

Luan Pra bang 31 March 2006 08:22 PM

Oh, you need one of those hotels that charges by the hour ;)

are they for prostitutes then? :eek2:

davyboy 31 March 2006 08:24 PM

:lol1: Prostitution or Porno

Markus 31 March 2006 08:25 PM

The simple answer to the question is: No, you cannot stay a full 24 hours. A "day" would be from check-in time until check-out time. Normally check-in time starts around 2pm, and checkout time varies, from 9am - noon. Though you can usually ask to extend check-out time, but it'll be 1pm at the absolutle latest, or has been so at the various places I've stayed.

It can be considered a bit of a con, as the daily rate does not equate to a full day's accomodation, but that's life.

If you want/need a full 24 hours then you'll end up paying for two days.

.

How is it a con you pay for a nights accomodation

Markus 31 March 2006 08:35 PM

maybe I should have said a full 24 hours, rather than a full day. I don't consider it a con, though some could do.

if you turn up at 1am you still have to pay for a whole night, that cant be fair:p

rip-off Britain

StickyMicky 31 March 2006 09:02 PM

its only annoying when they kick you out around 11, but your bus/train/flight is leaving at 5in the afternoon and you have to lug the bags around while in the "feck im going home" state of mind :D

sarasquares 31 March 2006 09:03 PM

its even worse when you have a train to catch at 5am and they chuck you out at 11am:D
