remap results

the day has finally come, just got back from powerstation for my tek 3 tweek. the car got 310.5 bhp on the rollers which im happy with. the car is a my00 with the following mods

tek 3
vf35 turbo
ported and wrapped headers
greddy up pipe
sti8 intercooler
intercooler fan
large scoop
custom undertray and air splitter
walbro pump
parallel fuel rails
ported throttle body
inlet manifold insulators
hks pannel filter
airbox mod with extra cold air feed on the side
prf7b spark plugs
ic spray set up with 4 nozles
3 inch open neck downpipe (wrapped)
decat centre
newage prodrive back box.
oil catch can
theres a bit more lag but the car pulls loads harder now and the turbo sounds quality, its runing 1.25 bar boost and holds up to 6000rpm

nice results

Ive just had my 2.5 20g mapped by Paul@ Zen. I dont have any power/torque figures, best guess 340*340 at 1.2bar rising to 1.34bar, with a little more to come later!

Here is a piccy of hand commander peak values on 1.2bar 5th gear

Neilo 24 March 2006 03:37 PM

Im not exactly sure, we did a 1.5bar 5th gear run and it went like a bullet. but Paul advised me to keep the boost down for a short while to preserve the gearbox, but as you can see there is plenty of room to up the settings. 2.5sti with forged pistons on uk 97 heads, car was a standard 97 uk turbo :D

Thanks go to Api for doing this

Not sure on the torque figure, but i wouldn't mind knowing how to work it out.
That's about 18 psi AFAIK

Don't know, I just would've expected to see nearer 300 with your spec

true, u usually see like 310/300 ect dont you? i havnt really thort about the torque.

StiX 24 March 2006 10:49 PM

It is low. I was at Powerstation recently for a Tek3 MY00, nowhere near as modded and achieved 272bhp / 272lbft?

1.25bar also (as Rich likes to map to).

Ninja Sports Cat dp
Magnex cat back
JR Panel Filter
3 port boost solenoid

rigga 25 March 2006 01:55 AM

James i would be less worried as to what power the car produces on the rollers.as to what it feels like on the road driving in real world conditions

350 is a great bhp for the guys in the pub as you have already stated its a lot better to drive

madmoog 25 March 2006 05:03 PM

Sounds like there are some good results coming from 2.5's. The additional torque makes such a differance especially pottering around town off boost.

Can't wait till I've finished running mine in and had the final remap:norty: It's an STi3, so it will be interesting to see the differance the heads and cams make over UK versions (all other thinks being equal which the never are:) ).

Spread the word, bigger is better, and too much is nearly enough:wonder:
