Yes I've heard of megasquirt...been a very long while though :D

From what I originally looked at (although they may have updated them since ) is it is primarily a simultanously pulsed injection system. Stock subaru is sequential.

Although I belive the proposed V2system is sequential capeable, along with 3D ignition mapping (I presume they have it released by now - been a while since I looked).

If you have the time to spend on it, then it is a very capeable system.

I looked at the system for using on both a TR6 and Rover v8. But ended up using 3 weber DCOEs on the TR6 and bunged a 4 barrell holley on the v8 as too much bodging would be needed to convert either to EFi and get them running right, whilst the carbs was more plug and play :)

Still tempted to see if one could be adapted for a Jag v12, as the old Lucas digtal system could benefit greatly from a more modern setup - although its a bit too daunting for me to even contemplate it.

you definatly could run one on a v12 jag lump :D
