Xbox 360 & Mpeg4 tunes?
Got a 360 for xmas, and well pleased with it - an awesome bit of kit (hooked up to my HD projector :D)
However - seems that it wont play any of the downloaded music from Itunes - all in Mpeg 4 (via the wireless connection). From looking around the web, seems MS have chosen not to be MP4 compatible, so will only play MP3 files. Which is a complete arse, as I've got a massive library of MPeg 4 music from Itunes. Anyone gotten Mpeg 4 files to run on their 360? Neil |
MPEG4? I thought MPEG4 was a video standard?

Check on the Live Marketplace, there's an IPod updater file that fixes this.

i'm looking in the market place and i don't see it.

Xbox Live Marketplace > Game Downloads > All Games > Alphabetical List Of Games > Optional Ipod Support
:D |
I downloaded it and still it wont find Itunes that I've converted in AAC format
Anyone got any tips? Neil |
It won't play stuff you have bought from itunes. These use the AAC security stuff, and Apple won't give microsoft have permission to use it. You should be able to stream stuff that you have encoded yourself though (i.e. ripped from a cd). I've done this with my ipod and it works fine.

Nice one - was worried I was going to have to convert all my AAC files.. :thumb:
