Hennessy Doge Viper SRT10- Move over Veyron
Move over Veyron! the new dodge viper does 255mph  with a twin turbo V10 lump producing 1000bhp and 1100llbs :Suspiciou it'll see 60 in 2.9 and 100 in 5.7, not bad considering its rwd and laying down that much power :D
http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z10370/default.aspx I quite like the looks of it too, very aggresive :thumb: |
There's a big difference between American tuner claimed performance, and independantly proved and timed actual performance..........
|
True but if you got the dodge it only costs £130,000 that extra 700K in my pocket will buy the mansion and a few tuning accesories :norty:
|
the thing is that the Veyron is limited to 252mph and cost over £5'000'000 to make... I know which I'd rather have. Think the Veyron is still faster than that too... would be interesting to see the 0-200 times, as the Veyron Vs the Maclaren F1 they said on topear the F1 can start at 120mph and the Veyron will still hit 200mph before it... insane cars though, would be happy with either :D

As Jeremy Clarkson once said, this is barn door engineerig: simple and tough- not technically a good car, but very likable all the same. As for the Venom.......1100 lbs ft of torque!!!!!!   I also think the Viper is the Horniest looking car ever made. The old coupe in particular was a masterpiece of muscle car design. It's going to be a bit of a pig to drive fast around a track. It's really more intended for the freeways and drag strips. There can be no doubt about its power though, even a standard one develops, what, 550bhp and similar torque and weighs about 1500 kilos.

I agree, IMO i would much rather spend 130k on a Fezza 430/ Challenge Stradale everyday of the week!
Each to his own though, it would be boring if we all like the same stuff:D:D gav..:) |

Actually, If I had the money I'd pay that price just to have the thing on display.....I mean look at it, park whayever you like next to that and the Viper would win on the admiring glances- it's just georgous!! :thumb: :thumb: NS04 |

I'd agree, based on the convertible, but wait till you see the coupe version and -in particular this Venom version- It's stunning!!!!! :D

The dodge looks like your typical american **** box of a sports car.
They Veyron is a work of art and was built specifically from the ground up to achieve the performance it does. There's NO comparison in my eyes. |
Veyron all the way. The amount of attention to detail, the time it has spent in testing, ensures this car will not be beaten for at least a decade.
It is IMO the best looking car in the world, and if I had the money, it would be the first car I would buy bar none.:norty: |
Doubt a 1000bhp Viper could manage a cross-europe drive without something blowing up on it though. :D
As I've said before, people can get 1000bhp skylines and 500bhp scoobs, but they don't spend long on the road before somthing needs rebuilding ;) |

But then I'm a fan of muscle car styling! Each to their own. :thumb: NS04 |
