external tmic
gonna be getting a custom intercooler made up in place of the original scoop
i.e. actually remove the scoop and have the intercooler raised up in its place has anybody done or seen this before it makes perfect sense to me ? i dont use the car much at all and it lives in a garage so rain etc isnt a problem any advise or comments appreciated |
What's going to force air through the intercooler if you remove the scoop ?
If you just 'slap' on an intercooler in place of the scoop, i doubt it will be very efficient, as the air will just pass over the top, rather than through it |
your name says it all mate :)

that would look lovely too.....

Don't listen to them, sounds like an interesting plan. One thing I would do is fit an air intake temp gauge. Monitor the temps with the current intercooler and then again with the new one, that way you'll know if it works or not.

thats a very good idea IMO with a mod or 2.
put it vertical, and move it to behind the bumper. market the conversion and you will be living it up for the rest of your life |

Oh & Chav's could pinch it far more easily :D Dean |
Dean F, i thought of it, you named it, lets go halves on the patent rights;)
