Hi Guys,
I know it's a bit short notice but a few of us are meeting up for a early morning poodle http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif on some of the best driving roads around, So far there are 2 my99's and a 420brake escort cossy.
Anyone who wants to join us we are meeting at the robin hood pub in the ridgeway enfield at 8.30am.

Ian - Yes I am here, and I have my car. Not sure yet if I can make Windsor tomorrow night - I have work to do. But I'll try.

Are you coming on this little run tomorrow? Show us you can drive that Evo of yours! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Rob W 04 June 2000 07:06 PM

Yes a nice turnout for such short notice, 5 cars in all. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Richard's cossy was very very quick and james had a good go at keeping with him.
I think everyone will agree that the roads were pretty cool
Will be organising another in the near future,

cheers guys
Rob

Rob - Thanks for doing the organising. When we finally got there it was definately worth it - lovely road. So what's with the 4 mile gap you like to keep with the car in front http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Found out why my car kept cutting out. By chance met up with a mate of mine who's a Subaru mechanic at a petrol station. I'd overfilled the oil that morning. DOH! Which meant some got sucked up a tube into the solenoid. The ECU then cuts the injectors when you try and floor it in 4th of 5th. I just need to empty a bit of oil and reset the ECU with the plugs underneath the dash. Phew! I thought it might have been serious.

See you all at the next one.

Yeah top day and thanks to Rob for sorting it at short notice.

I must comment on his exeptionally clean car and unless I'm mistaken someone had been polishing thier back box..Rob ??

Really great roads , hope to be back there soon

Cem, and you kept saying YOU wore the trousers!!! LOL

Dan

James Neill 06 June 2000 08:26 AM

My mate was right. I emptied some oil - it was still cutting out. Then did the ECU reset and you could hear it go through its diagnostics. Drove it for a bit and it was cured - no more cutting out.

Now I can definately keep up with Rich the cossie man http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Rob W 06 June 2000 08:30 PM
