if you had £1500 to spend on a pc what would you buy (plus 19" monitor)

I'd find it hard to spend that much, I'd build my own with double the quality of components, for half the price! :)

1 year old rig - built for around £1k + Eizo 19" LCD.

If youre an i-pod person, buy a sony, if youre not willing to pay 25% extra just to have something that looks nice then consider a dell or an evesham. Both good makes with a decent reputation. Same specification, just not the price.
