C2forWRX 15 September 2005 04:15 PM

Worth £12600 cash to a dealer I'm guessing??

£14000 Part/Ex??

Looks nice .............................

Anyone else aware that the general car market has collapsed, nothing is selling??

Pete

Ian E 15 September 2005 07:39 PM

Great buy at £15000! Don't suppose you'd be interested in my 1 owner MY00 41k miles in px? Worth a try :D

austen_wrx 15 September 2005 08:24 PM

was offered £12,800 for 54 plate wrx with a few extras an £20k miles from a dealer (Slip End Garage), so i reckon you could probably get about £14000-14500 from the right dealer.

warrtster 15 September 2005 09:03 PM

I hope you don't mind me asking but why are you selling so soon?
Nice car btw :)

C2forWRX 16 September 2005 12:20 AM

JB - you need to change the bit at the end of your ebay add. it says buy it now 19300 when its clearly 17995

scoobimax 16 September 2005 01:06 AM

5.5 seconds on standard STi, 4.6 seconds on PPP STi.

chiark 16 September 2005 08:31 AM

Good luck. You're up against new UK-spec imports for the same money, and whilst they're not PPP'd or limited editions they're, er, new.

I was offered 10k as a trade in from multiple places for 2 year old 03 wagon; residuals stink at the moment, and I don't think insurance is helping. Plus you're trying to sell a thirsty car when people have had petrol prices once again brought fully to their attention.

My advice?

keep it, and enjoy it. You'll be taking a massive hit if you sell it now, so you might as well keep it for 2 more years and enjoy the thing :D

porlkertus 16 September 2005 08:40 AM

Lovely car, good luck.

Crosstalk 16 September 2005 10:07 AM

Look at this, seller claims similar cars are selling for £15K. Yeah, course they are!

Maybe your tasty 300 isn't bashed up enough?

You're right, its 4.8secs. This has to be the cheapest sub 5 second 05reg car in the country at the moment. I'd be very surprised if it wasnt.

Seriously though, if it doesnt go this time then **** the missus and **** the newly acquired 6 points, i'm keeping it - and the Skoda Fabia Vrs I've ordered as a company car.

I'll just have to work a little harder and earn a bigger bonus :p

Danny B 16 September 2005 03:19 PM

How much was it new? just curious..

List was £21750, up until a couple of weeks ago you could buy pre-reg'd and demonstrators for £19k. Dont think there are any still for sale now though.

I paid ?????, nah only joking, with part ex deal it stands me at £20300

Danny B 16 September 2005 04:00 PM

Ouch! even if you sell it in 12 months time your probably still get £15k for it. Keep it if you can.

C2forWRX 16 September 2005 04:27 PM

there is a load of pre reg one on the subaru site. I'd hang on to it man. no one is buying at the min. waiting for 06 i think must be why

alwong 16 September 2005 04:40 PM

Hard times at the mo!!

I found 2 locally, one is £20k new, one is £22k with 500 miles.

I'm of the opinion that I might as well take some loss now, rather than taking a larger loss in 12 months. In 12 months it may only be worth 13/14k max. So if i can shift it at 16/17k now, I might as well take a 3/4k loss than a 6/7k loss later on.

At the end of the day you gotta accept the loss you take on driving off the forecourt, selling it on day two, or year two really makes no difference as the money is lost regardless- holding onto it is just our way of phsycologically justifying that the loss happened over a long period of time, rather than one day, which in fact it did!

C2forWRX 17 September 2005 04:41 PM

Id just wait a couple of months. when 06's out if subaru lovers dont like it then they will look at a nearly new blob eye
