Hello

Some of the lower ones in the list. Japan was much higher when I was there as was Russia and South Africa.

In Japan the current prices are about
¥/litre $/US gallon $/Imp gallon
Regular 118 4.04 4.85
High Octane 130 4.45 5.34

The prices quoted were for regular in Tokyo, and Tokyo prices are a bit more than here so I wouldn't argue with their $4.24 figure.

But you should take the overall costs of motoring into account, not just fuel. Japan's car tax is more than the UK and you pay lots of toll fees.

The most relevanmt quote from the article is "...Many European nations tax gasoline heavily, with taxes making up as much as 75 percent of the cost of a gallon of gasoline, said a spokesperson for AirInc. ..." ...

I wanna move to Venezuela..... where the cost is kept low ' .. for the benefit of it's citizens ...' Are you listening Gordon???????
