unless you want the noise

id like the dump valave because of the noise but not sure to fit one if they drink u petrol.

My car came with a VTA DV when I bought it, I removed it as I didn't like the noise. Didn't notice any difference in fuel consumption at all.

The noise may sound good at first, but I suspect It'll get irritating after a while. NS04 |
You will not benefit from any increase in horsepower from the fitment of a dump-valve. The ONLY small benefit can be that the after-market DV responds slightly more quickly. This may be an advantage if quarter mile racing is your thing (this'd b a re-circulating DV...), but for everyone else theres no tangiable advantage at all. Vent to atmosphere dump valves can be of benefit if your car makes well in excess of 400 Bhp too, in some circumstances, but I doubt that it does..... Mostly VTA dump valves are fitted to make a stupid noise, with the added benefit of washing your bores every time you hear it.....
