Do you believe in anything strongly enough to die for it?
 

In the light of the news that last weeks explosions look like they were suicide bombings I’m at a loss to understand what drives someone to believe so passionately in something that they are prepared to give their own life for the cause.

So is there anything you think is worth dieing for?

Asked me 5 years ago I would have been tempted to say our country but nar, I think Id let England/Britain get run over whilst I flee to somewhere a little better ;)

only thing worth dying for now would be family Id say...

btw, your poll should be multi choice. what if Id die for the partner and children?

everyday I see them I think how lucky I am to have them and am so glad I acted the way I did.

I would personally martyr you if you spoke to me like that in the street moses.

But moses is a "Scot" - that absolves him of any possible criticism, obviously....

Moses, I couldn't care whether you or anyone on this board are bright green. You have to admit - saying you would separate his head from his body is a little over the top.

I think that its mainly because British/Western culture sees that beheading someone is a medieval practice, something that belongs in the dark ages. The western world already has the idea that Islam is a religion with outdated beliefs and statements like yours just perpetuate it.

If you had just said you would beat the crap out of him, it probably wouldn't have had such a strong reaction and it wouldn't seem like "the white guys" were ganging up on you. Do you see what I am saying?
