Lancia delta S4 with delivery miles!!!!
Wow, saw it on the walkers garage web site, they have discovered a Group B ralley monster with delivery miles!! offers around 100k!!!! wow, shame im 95k short of buying it!! lol
|
Wow, is right!! :) Fantastic.
Mozza you are doing better then me.....I'm £99,999 short! :( |
That's Walkers taking the piss again with prices. S4 at that price I would guess it's twice as much as there going for at the mo. I've heard about a couple of S4 that have gone for 30+40k at Auction lately. Tony

Thats been advertised for quite a while now, they had a yellow one a couple of years back to.
|
No doubt some rich car collecter will eventually purchase it because i would imagine it is out of most if not all SN members price range
|
I know its well pricey, i have seen 1 in italy at the 30k mark!.... what i wouldnt give for one of those puppy's!!! lol
|
£100k is well over priced, delivery miles or not, yes its a ex group B supercar but you can get RS200's, 6R4's or the rare 205 T16 for about £40k, thats all i'd say the S4 is worth.

Do you know that there is only 2 Uk road going versions of the T16 left in the UK?
A friend of mine has the 1st one registered in this country..its currently sat in the garage with no engine and box in..The wastegate stuck shut, this resulted in a piston melting.it was stripped down and the oil pump was borrowed out for another project, while the engine was sent to france for a rebuild..that was some years ago..!!!! |
A S4 stradale would sell at a premium auction eg Bonhams for around £ 30 - £ 40,000 and in the last year two have been sold this way.
A S4 in rally trim would sell for substantially more depending on specification or history. The car in Walkers would need recommissioning before it could be used, and Delta S4 parts are scarce and expensive. Virtually everything, bar tail lamps and badges is unique to the S4 |
All well and good but I'd probably take a Porker GT3 over that.

Someone who was looking for a 80s Group B rally car would NOT be considering a GT3. Dave |

Just looked at the car on Walkers website - fantastic condition as you would expect from a car that has sat in a private collection since new, can't see someone paying £100k for standard road car though, I could be wrong however - will just have to stick with my Integrale for now

I shall take him up on his facts next time i see him...;) |

i think most of the road T16's were gunmetal grey but i could be mistaken, i've never seen one in a different colour in road car trim
|
It has the Peugeot sport stripes on too..but its at least an inch thick in dust!!!!!!!
|
I cant believe the price of those EVO`s :o

yeah its a typo i think, watched a video once with a S4 doing 0-100 mph in 7ish seconds!!! Even a factory de-tuned one would surly hit 60 in less than 7 seconds!! right?!?"!?

The S4 on Walkers website is a standard road car ( Stradale), power output is 250 bhp and car weight 1200 kg so power output was good for that era - the works rally cars where pushing out 400 + bhp and a bit lighter :D
|
ugly beast of a car.
|
From my S4 brochure
1752cc 250bhp@6750rpm max speed 225kmh (140mph) 0-62mph with 2 people plus 20kgs - 6s 0-1km - 25.6s 1200kg Not bad for 2005. Pretty good for 1986. Andrew |
