mmmm tough one then....... means you would have to insure it outright........ ouch springs to mind........

im 21 in june and then its approx the £3,000 mark. is there not something like a traders policy that lets you drive all the cars in your household?

RRH 01 February 2005 09:46 PM

you'd be very lucky to get a traders policy and it would more than likely cost in excess of £3k. you'd probs be better offering to pay to be put on the step dads traders policy?

banny sti 01 February 2005 10:27 PM

get your car insured with a company that will let you drive any other car third party and that will solve the problem

MattN 01 February 2005 11:18 PM

get a part time job at the garage so you can be classed as an employee.

most of the time ya gotta be over 25 for that.......

If you can get a quote, try adding mum or auntie or any older female relative who's got a good driving history onto the quote. In some cases this can lower it considerably.

new laws are in progress, YOU can get a weekend insurance NOW, from some places at the moment!!!
ive heard!! :)

Jiggerypokery 02 February 2005 10:23 AM

I thought you couldn't get Fully Comp cover on a car which doesn't belong to you?

You may be able to get TPO in your own name.

they just quoted £2,000

richto 03 February 2005 12:33 AM

It's illegal to insure a car twice...

£2000 sounds quite reasonable to me for a female in a turbo. Just imagine how much damage you could do trying to reverse....;-}

CustomScoobyIOM 13 February 2005 09:24 AM

No but if you crash it you are screwed.

Brun 13 February 2005 02:48 PM

A traders policy for a 25yr old (minimum age) would cost almost £5,000 per year with £7500 worth of cover.

xkellyx 06 March 2005 10:46 AM

my bfs 23 and he's on it tho?

GC8 06 March 2005 12:26 PM

He's a named driver Kelly not the policy holder; I can have named drivers added aged 21 and over but a policyholder has to be at least 25.

Simon

xkellyx 06 March 2005 12:49 PM
