HKS SSQV Problems

Has anyone had problems with their HKS SSQV leaking, I was going to purchase one from the states and was told that when they pressure tested them they started leaking at between 15-17 PSi.

What's 15-17 psi in real money i.e. Bar ;)

Doesn't sound a lot, mine seems to cope fine and boost often peaks at 1.4-1.45 in 4th and 5th gear.

Oh, to get in before the usual crew, don't bother changing it, keep with the OEM recirc and avoid poor idling, bore wash, etc, etc :D

If you do deicide to get one, try Simon Lau here that's where I got mine. Don't bother with the different inserts though as they are pretty pants.

Moving to general technical in 5,4,3,............. ;)

Never heard of that before. Probably one of the best made/designed d/v.

Look up the details on the net and compare it to others.

I've got a HKS SSQV and its spot on.

A myth, possibly true of lesser products.

The HKS SSQV has a twin piston design so that it doesnt cause idle problems.

Cheers guys, only going by what the guy on the phone told me so I guess this could have been a one off. I think I'll go ahead and order it as this way it will act like the OEM recirc at low boost but on full chat will VTA.

Just to add, I've got one as well and no problems with it

Yeah I've got no problems with mine either. I've tightened the screw up to stop any leaks just in case
