This year's Christmas and New Year holidays, along with the agreed opening arrangements for Halifax and Bank of Scotland branches are as follows:

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR 2004/ 2005 This year's Christmas and New Year holidays, along with the agreed opening arrangements for Halifax and Bank of Scotland branches are as follows: • Friday 24th December 2004 – Christmas Eve – branches closing at 1pm. See below for Business Banking arrangements, which will be agreed locally and on a voluntary basis. • Saturday 25th December 2004 - Christmas Day – all branches closed • Sunday 26th December 2004 - Boxing Day – all branches closed • Monday 27th December 2004 – Bank Holiday – all branches closed, except those in shopping centres, which will be resourced locally and on a voluntary basis. • Tuesday 28th December 2004 – Bank Holiday – 40% of branches to open to ensure that a service is provided to the majority of customers. Resourcing plans will be agreed locally and on a voluntary basis. • Wednesday 29th December 2004 – normal opening • Thursday 30th December 2004 – normal opening • Friday 31st December 2004 – branches closing at 3 p.m. See below for Business Banking arrangements, which will be agreed locally and on a voluntary basis. • Saturday 1st January 2005 - New Years Day – all branches closed • Sunday 2nd January 2005 – all branches closed • Monday 3rd January 2005 – Bank Holiday - all branches closed, except those in shopping centres, which will be resourced locally and on a voluntary basis. • Tuesday 4th January 2005 (Scotland) – Bank Holiday - 40% of branches to open to ensure that a service is provided to the majority of customers. Resourcing plans will be agreed locally and on a voluntary basis. • Tuesday 4th January 2005 (England and Wales and Northern Ireland) – all branches open |
